In 2019, Lawrence walked into an internet cafe seeking computer skills, but he discovered a life-altering connection that far exceeded technical training. Though he grew up in a religious household, his faith was a passive inheritance rather than a personal conviction until intentional mentorship bridged the gap. As I guided him through his studies and the 4/14 Academy, our bond deepened into a father-son relationship, providing the spiritual grounding he had been missing. The ultimate turning point arrived on January 8th of this year, when Lawrence made the bold decision to be baptized and become a born-again Christian, transitioning from a quiet observer of tradition to an active, fire-filled disciple of Christ.
Today, Lawrence is a powerful testimony of transformation in southwestern Uganda, proving that personal mentorship can steer a life toward a higher calling. While pursuing his degree in Computer Engineering, he has stepped into leadership as a OneHope Master Trainer and a coordinator for the “Lead Today” program, inspiring his peers and family through his newfound discipline and purpose. No longer just a student, he now serves as a catalyst for growth in others, inviting his friends into the same training that reshaped his soul. His journey from a computer student to a spiritual leader stands as a beacon of hope for a generation searching for genuine identity in Christ.
